Megan spent the first 4 weeks of life in the hospital. She had a very hard time with sucking and swallowing which required an NG tube for feedings during her first 3 weeks. During her hospital stay it was discovered that she had a duplicated gallbladder (the second one is non-functioning), PDA, pulmonary stenosis, grade 4 kidney reflux, cysts on her liver, submucosal cleft soft palate, hyperextensive joints, and what was originally believed to be hearing loss (not true, it's fine). She also developed jaundice shortly after birth. She was hospitalized again at 3 months old for gastric reflux. The PDA was repaired when she was 16 months (10/94). She has a very large keloid scar from that operation.
